The WWP and the Orlando Project

The roots of our collaboration with the Orlando Project are of long standing. Within the past few years, however, we have begun working more specifically on a collaborative project which would draw on our complementary strengths: the Orlando Project's as an unparalleled resource on the history of women's writing in English, and the WWP's as a repository of the primary sources in that history. Our hope, over the long term, is to provide links between the two projects so that users can use them together.

In the shorter term, we are experimenting with a more focused partnership. The Orlando Project has generously given permission to the WWP to use biographical materials from their research to provide contextual information for each WWP text and author. In return, the WWP will be allowing Orlando to link their online encyclopedia with our textbase, enabling readers to access the primary sources discussed.
