Text Encoding for Humanities Scholarship

This three-day seminar was held at Texas A&M University on April 17–19, 2009. This seminar is part of a two-year program of seminars on scholarly text encoding sponsored by the NEH and conducted by the Brown University Women Writers Project. This seminar is intended as an introductory step, which we hope will encourage some participants to explore text encoding issues more fully on their own or as part of a digital project. Part of the funding for this seminar series goes to provide consultation and advice following the seminar, including assistance with writing grant proposals, advice and assistance on developing TEI schemas and documentation, and guidance on text encoding issues.
