Information for Librarians and Technical Support Staff

MARC records and title-level URLs for WWO texts

MARC records for almost all Women Writers Online texts are available for download from OCLC. In addition, records may be batch downloaded from OCLC. The set of MARC records for WWP texts is available here. There is a small charge from OCLC for the batch download; OCLC members should contact your OCLC network for information. For a list of all available sets, please see the Available WorldCat Collection Sets.

In response to requests, we now provide title-level URLs for all texts in the WWP collection. Title-level URLs are also being included in MARC records for WWO texts. Credit and thanks for this milestone are due to our collaborating librarians at the Rockefeller Library at Brown University, Dominique Coulombe and Ann Caldwell.

Renewing your subscription

The WWP license year runs from July 1 through June 30. We send out renewal notices in early April each year, which include a simple yes/no renewal form (which you may return by fax, mail, or email) and an invoice. If you wish to renew for more than one year, simply contact us to request an updated invoice. If you would like to receive your invoice by email (as a PDF), just send email to WWP@brown.edu letting us know the address and contact person.

Getting usage statistics

You can find usage statistics for your institution at http://www.wwp.brown.edu/texts/usage/.

Updating your account information

All updates to IP address ranges or contact information should be sent promptly to WWP@brown.edu.

Arranging for off-campus access

We encourage institutions to offer off-campus access for their users, via a proxy server or other method, and there is no additional charge for this usage. If you do not run a proxy server and need to provide off-campus access for any reason, please contact us and we can arrange to supply a password.
