Help |
This page is the entry point into the textbase. On it you will find information about the state of the textbase, and a list of choices for entering. Currently there are six choices:
Table of Contents: This link takes you to the Table of Contents for the Women Writers Online textbase. This includes all available Women Writers Project texts. Use this link if you want to browse a list of all the available authors in the WWO, and if you want to go directly to a text in order to read it.
Search: This link takes you directly to the Search page for the Women Writers Online textbase. Use this link if you want to search for a word or words right away. You may also use the Search page to locate a group of texts by author, publisher, length, etc.
RWO: This link takes you to the introductory page for the Renaissance Women Online textbase. This is a subset of 100 Renaissance texts from the WWW collection, covering texts before 1670. Unlike other WWO texts, RWO texts have additional secondary material in the form of introductory essays and topic essays. Use this link if you are only interested in women's writings of the English Renaissance.
Download Texts: This link takes you to a page from which you will be able to download WWP texts as PDF files for printing or as XML files, for your own use online. The printing feature is not yet available.
Syllabi: This link takes you to a page from which you will be able to view syllabi, assignments and suggestions from courses which use WWP texts. This feature will be developed as more people start to use WWP texts in their courses.
Help: This link brings you to the main help page, from which you can explore the help pages and the tutorials.
From this page, you may also navigate to other locations on the main WWP website, using the standard WWP navigational menu at the bottom of the page.
